Journalism
to me is fearless determination and an untiring odyssey of search for the truth.
After passing out Higher Secondary from one of Kolkata’s most prestigious
school, St. Lawrence High School, I joined for Bachelors Degree in Journalism
and Mass Communication in Netaji Nagar College under University of Calcutta.
Soon after giving my final year university exam I cleared the admission test
for Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi which is
undoubtedly India’s premier autonomous Journalism and Mass Communication
Institute under the Government of India, Ministry of Information and
Broadcasting. On completion of the one year Post Graduate Diploma course in
Radio and Television Journalism I got recruited in UNITV country’s second
biggest television news agency. During the tenure of my job I covered Common
Wealth Games 2010 in New Delhi, British Prime Minister David Cameron’s visit to
India and many other political and business events. In the quest gaining
further expertise in the field of Journalism and Mass Communication I joined
the Masters Degree in West Bengal State University. After all these years I
feel to have discovered only the tip of the iceberg lots more need to be done
lots more need to learn, because there is no end for the journey called
Knowledge.
